The Gear Games: Dynastar, Lange, and Look for 2017/2018 Winter Season

In late January, I attended the SIA Snow Show in Denver, Colorado to check out new gear for the 2017/2018 winter season.

Dynastar Skis, Lange Boots, and Look Bindings are coming out swinging with powerful and refined product lines that rival all other brands. The show buzz this year is that the THE LEGEND IS BACK! The fabled favorite ski from Mad River Glen to Snowbird has been re-launched to offer the best all mountain experiences available.

There were plenty of other stand outs from the Dyna-Verse including the snappy Speed Zone series, the Intense Women's Carving series, and some exciting new Ski Boot technology.

THE LEGEND IS BACK

All new for 2017/2018 is the Dynastar Legend line, available in men's and women's models from 75mm waist up to 106mm (a 117mm waist is available as The Legend Factory). The Legend received our best in show award during the ski test, specifically the 80, 84, and 88 models. This line of skis is best for all mountain skiers looking for a versatile and responsive ski for a number of conditions.

WELCOME TO THE SPEED ZONE

When it comes to carving groomers and ripping turns, the Dynastar Speed Zone series is at the top of the list. Featuring vertical sidewalls, wood cores, and a Ti layer, the Speed Zone was a responsive, hard charging, groomer ripping, roller coaster ride.

BE ONE WITH LANGE BOOTS

The Lange Ski Boot line features a new molding technology that allows for truer fits, and more comfortable ski boots. We've always loved skiing our Lange Boots but this year they seem to have gotten even more comfortable. Stand outs included the all new RS Race Boots and the classic XT 130.

WE TRUST LOOK BINDINGS

What still needs to be said about Look Bindings? They continue to improve their designs, while maintaining THE most sought after bindings in the industry (The Pivot).
