Performance Paddle Boarding for Life and Vitality

For an all around fitness activity, performance paddle boarding on 14’ displacement (pointy nose, v-style) hull offers so much for vitality, core strength, and overall pleasure & fun! I meet many fellow 14’ performance board riders who love the sport and say it makes them feel younger and more alive. The age of our customers and coachees varies greatly, including up to and over 80 years young! Performance paddling has been key part of the quest for resiliency for many of these athletes.

I constantly study the important factors to develop a vital and dynamic life so I can be the best coach and paddler I can be. I consistently find that performance paddling, along with being incredibly fun and fulfilling, can also offer a range of benefits to the human body across various factors.

1.) Balance is fundamental to prevention of life-changing injuries and to ensure longevity. It’s also a key developmental skill in performance paddling.

2.) Standing with a dynamic posture with an emphasis on athletic stance can crossover to so many aspects of life and sport.

3.) Muscular development of all the major muscle groups helps to “keep the body young”.

4.) Maintaining a robust heart and vascular system. This one is self-explanatory.

5.) Coordination improvement and skill acquisition results in success and accomplishments, which can help an athlete to feel more fulfilled and satisfied.

6.) Mental and emotional state function takes a big leap because you are constantly adapting to new experiences, and have to “keep your head on a swivel” when on the water.

7.) Solitude and being outside with nature with bountiful views is an experience that often results in happier minds and bodies. This is really what performance paddle boarding is all about, and why I’ve been trying to learn, progress, and excel in the sport for over 15 years. Share these points with friends and others and invite them to join us in of the greatest sports in the world!
