Quick Tip: Walking the Board
Big shout out thank you to our friend Karen Dalury from Killington, Vermont for helping me this past weekend on the water. After her observations of my inefficient attempts at pivot turning, a light went on for me based on her corrections.
1. Get low first before attempting to move on the board. This moves the center of mass closer to the deck and increases stability and minimizes the tipping moment.
2. Make sure to maintain a wider stance between both feet which offers a better base of support.
These 2 tips were so instrumental for me and I wanted to share with you the mental and physical confidence I gained.
